Frequently asked questions
What is a Want?
A Want is a structured request for something you’d like to buy: what it is, your price range, condition, where to look, and any must-have details. Rover searches for it and sellers can respond with offers.
How does Rover find matches?
Rover reads your Want, asks clarifying questions, then searches supported marketplaces and scores each listing against your criteria. It re-scans regularly and alerts you to new matches.
Is my payment protected?
When you accept a seller’s offer on BuyCentric, your payment is held in escrow and only released to the seller once the deal is complete.
Do you share my contact details?
No. Conversations, offers and meetups all happen inside BuyCentric, so you never have to hand out your phone number or email to a stranger.
Where does BuyCentric work?
BuyCentric launches in Canada. You can search a radius around your neighbourhood or switch any Want to worldwide.
